π§οΈ It was wet, it was windy, it was Greenock in March for the 5-mile race which in corporates the Renfrewshire 5 mile championship.
π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ This well organised race, starting and finishing in Battery Park, has always attracted a good number of Harriers, and the 2023 edition, saw club members enter in large numbers once again.
ππ» It was an exceptional day's racing and one of joy for the Harriers with Jack Heathwood winning the race π₯ and the championship event, with David Macintosh π₯ taking second in both events.
π The Harriers team of Jack Heathwood 1st, David Macintosh 2nd, Rhys Williams 9th, Greig Corr 10th, Brent Brodie 13th, and Paul Clawson 18th, were the men's team gold medal winners. Rhys π was first junior under-20 and Brent π first over-50.
π₯The ladies team of Kristina Greig 3rd, Katherine Hylands 9th, and Claire McCormick 11th, won the championship silver medal, with Claire π first in the over-50 category and Anne Williamson π was the first over-60
π It was also a day in which a number of more Harriers finished in podium age category places.
