Scottish National XC Championships

🏆 The Blue Riband of the cross-country season took place at Callender Park in very good running conditions. The eagerly awaited Scottish National XC Championships saw large numbers finish, the men’s race saw 675 and 307 women completing the strenuous 10k course. 29 Harriers, including 2 juniors, took on the challenge.

6️⃣ The new format for the women’s race continued with 6 members of each club to count for the the team prize. Kristina Greig, who is currently leading the club's winter championship, was the first female Harrier home in 74th place. Katherine Hylands was 138th, Emma Rogerson 142nd, Angela Campbell 180th, Claire McCormick 184th, and Rebecca Simmister 194th, were the first 6 Harriers. Claire Fitzimmons and Stephanie Rudd also ran well on the day. The Harriers ladies finished 16th overall.

🔥The men's race saw Jack Heathwood achieve the Harriers best placing for a number of years with an excellent 39th place. Scott Mason had another fine run finishing in 147th. The other Harrier counters were Fraser Armstrong 153rd, John Carr 160th, Greig Corr 184th, and the fast improving Adam Stark in 194th. 13 other Harriers' men competed and the team were 16th.

💙 Alistair Munro continues to show fine form and finished in 91st in a very competitive under 15 field and Lexie Speirs had another good run.
