💙 What a way to kick off 2026 for the club! Close to 100 Bella members took part in a brilliant night of indoor racing at the Emirates Arena on Friday night, making the most of warm conditions during a cold start to the year.
🤩 The evening got underway with our juniors leading the way. Twenty young athletes competed across a series of races, with 400m events for the Development Squad and 800m races for the Intermediate Squad. Our Advanced Squad then took to the track, followed by an impressive turnout of seniors racing across a set of highly competitive 1500m heats.
🙌 Once the individual races wrapped up, the focus shifted to team events. Seniors contested seeded 4 × 400m relays, while the juniors took on seeded 4 × 200m relays, creating a great buzz around the track with plenty of encouragement and club spirit on show.
💨 The juniors then rounded off their night with sharp 60m sprints down the inner track, before the evening concluded with a thrilling 4 × 400m final featuring the fastest two teams from each of the three heats. 🙌 A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the night run so smoothly: Jamie McL, Paula Q, Pauline H, Matthew B, June McL, Deirdre P, Debbie W, Drea McG, Simon C, Claire F, Laura R, Jenny B, Becky S, John M, Lisa R and Scott M.
